How to take care of your skin during the summer?

Taking care of your skin all year round keeps it healthy, elastic and helps to delay the appearance of wrinkles. External skin care

Excessive heat causes the body to lose water and must be replenished to prevent skin dryness and peeling. How? Drink at least two liters of water every day and avoid drinking alcoholic beverages. They are a major source of dehydration. Another option is to drink coconut water to help nourish your skin. Another useful tip: apply moisturizing creams on your body after showering. Pay special attention to the driest areas: elbows, knees, and heels.
Daily sun protection for your skin
Whether you’re going to the beach to sunbathe or to work dressed, you need to protect your skin 24 hours a day, especially during the summer, so it’s best to apply SPF 50 sunscreen. And if you’re going to be out in the sun for an hour and a half or more, take your face cream with you so you can apply it as often as you need to.
Avoid sun exposure during peak sun hours
The sun’s rays are most harmful between 12 noon and 5 pm. During this time, UVA radiation enters the first layer of our skin and UVB radiation is able to penetrate all three layers of our skin (epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue).
Choose clothing that prevents skin reactions
The materials used to make our clothes can cause reactions on our skin. During the summer, it is better to use light and breathable materials such as linen, cotton and silk. Choose light-colored clothes, as they are made with fewer artificial pigments.
