With meticulous and careful preparation, this type of matcha tea is the most widely consumed in the Japanese tea ritual. Our japanese matcha powder is to be enjoyed as a beverage with a unique colour, taste and texture. This can only be achieved by following a traditional production process. 
  • TRENDY DRINK WITH TRADITION: Our green tea powder undergoes a shading phase four weeks before harvesting. This means that the green tea plants are deprived of sunlight to stimulate them to produce more chlorophyll and amino acids. These components give rise to the intense green colour and give the tea leaves their nutty, sweet taste (umami).

  • PREMIUM CEREMONIAL MATCHA TEA: The veins and stems are removed before grinding the young tea leaves (tencha), leaving only the finest and purest pulp. The grinding is done with stone (not metal!) mills, just like 500 years ago, to prevent the ingredients from oxidizing. Our matcha powder organic contains no added sugars, no colouring and no preservatives. Enjoy your matcha green tea the same way they did centuries ago.

Ingredients per serving (1g): Organic Matcha green tea (Camellia sinensis) powder 1g.

Add 1 g (approximately ½ teaspoon) of matcha tea to a bowl or cup using a spoon, preferably made of bamboo or wood, and pour 80 ml of water at a temperature of 70ºC.

Use a whisk to stir the matcha until it is completely dissolved and a frothy layer forms on the surface. For a traditional matcha tea, add an additional 190 ml of water, or 190 ml of milk for a matcha latte. Enjoy!

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store in refrigerator. Protect from heat and strong odours.
