Red Yeast Rice is obtained by fermenting rice with red yeast Monascus Purpureus. It has been used in China and other Asian countries for centuries as a traditional medicine.

Since the end of June 2022, red yeast rice supplements as we have known them so far will no longer be available on the European market: only products containing less than 3 mg of Monacolins per daily dose can be sold as food supplements.

Our new Red Yeast Rice Yeast product complies with the new European regulations on Monacolins.

Each tablet contains: - 2.9 mg Monacolin K. - 10 mg Coenzyme Q10.- 4 mg Vitamin B3

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of young children. Store in a cool dry place.

FAQ's about Red Yeast Rice

Our product is citrinine free. We analyze all our products, with the help of independent laboratories. In this way we can ensure that our red rice yeast is citrinine free (less than 50 µg /kg of citrinine).

It is not advisable to take it together, since if statin treatment is being followed and the red rice yeast is added, the dose of the medicine will be higher than the doctor scheduled and side effects can occur.The red rice yeast contains as active substance the monacoline K, which is a statin that occurs naturally during the fermentation of red rice. If we are already taking statins (for example, simvastatin or logo) and add the red rice yeast to our pattern, we will be taking a higher dose of statins than the doctor has prescribed. Therefore, it would be best not to take the product, or go to our doctor to adjust the guideline.

It is recommended to avoid the consumption of grapefruit juice, since it contains substances called bergamotin and niningine that increase the blood levels of statins so there is a risk of side effects.
