    Take 1 capsule daily with dinner.

    It is recommended to take a maximum of 3 months, followed by a break of 2 months.

    Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of young children. Store in a cool dry place.

    Is it citrinine free?

    Our product is citrinine free. We analyze all our products, with the help of independent laboratories. In this way we can assure ourselves that our Berbelipid Complex is citrinine free (less than 50 µg /kg of citrinine).Citrinine is an undesirable pollutant in fungus fungus products Monascus morteus (usually described as red yeast rice). In case of being in large quantities, it could affect the kidneys. Regulation (CE) 1881/2006 establishes that the maximum citrinine content, in the food supplements based on fermented rice with Red yeast Monascus Purpureus, is 100 µg /kg.     Can I take it together with cholesterol medications (statins)?

    If we are already taking statins and add the Berbelipid to our pattern that contains red rice yeast, we will be taking a higher dose of statins than the doctor has prescribed. Therefore, it would be best not to take the product.The red rice yeast contains as active substance the monacoline K, which is a statin that occurs naturally during the fermentation of red rice. If we are already taking statins (for example, simvastatin or logo) and add the red rice yeast to our pattern, we will be taking a higher dose of statins than the doctor has prescribed. Therefore, it would be best not to take the product, or go to our doctor to adjust the guideline.

    Is there any food to avoid consuming when you take this product?

    It is recommended to avoid the consumption of grapefruit juice, since it contains substances called bergamotin and niningine that increase the blood levels of statins so there is a risk of side effects.
